Perri Jaye 2023 Pinot Noir

Russian River Valley

Vintage

Winter rain and cool temperatures led to late budbreak and a mild spring. Moderate temperatures throughout the summer, with few heat spikes allowed for even ripening with higher-than-average yields. This long growing season resulted in ideal phenolic ripeness, natural acidity, excellent textures, deep hues and incredible concentration.

Overall, 2023 is considered an outstanding year for Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, with wines showing elegance, aromatic complexity, freshness, and concentration that reflect the benefits of this extended, cool growing season.

Winemaker’s Tasting Notes

A precise expression of the vintage, the 2023 RRV Estate Pinot Noir shows lifted aromas of ripe red cherry, cranberry, and pomegranate, accented by subtle notes of Earl Grey tea and dried rose petal. On the palate, the wine is both supple and structured—silken textures carry flavors of raspberry, pomegranate, and a whisper of baking spice, balanced by bright acidity and refined tannins. The finish is long, graceful, and quintessentially Russian River.
