This past March, we had the pleasure of participating in one of Sonoma County’s most anticipated culinary events—the 18th Annual Celebration of Pigs & Pinot, hosted by the legendary Chef Charlie Palmer at Hotel Healdsburg. The two-day springtime celebration, held March 21–22, brought together an impressive lineup of master sommeliers, renowned winemakers, and celebrity chefs to honor the magic of Pinot Noir and its perfect pairing partner—pork.

The weekend kicked off Friday evening with the ever-popular Taste of Pigs & Pinot, a festive walk-around tasting that showcased over 60 top-tier Pinot Noirs from Sonoma County and around the world. This year’s tasting featured a fun twist: two rosé wines were added to the mix, offering guests a refreshing “white wine” expression of Pinot Noir. As guests mingled through the tasting stations, they enjoyed a mouthwatering spread of pork creations—from artisan sausages and house-cured charcuterie to grilled pork skewers, gourmet pâtés, and bites from some of Healdsburg’s finest restaurants including Dry Creek Kitchen, Troubadour Bread and Bistro, Acorn Cafe, and Valette.

We are thrilled to share that Perri Jaye’s 2021 Russian River Pinot Noir was awarded second place in the coveted Pinot Cup competition! Being named the Pinot Cup Runner-Up among such an incredible field of producers is an honor we’re immensely proud of. This recognition is a testament to the meticulous care we put into our vineyards and the beauty of the Russian River terroir.

To be among so many passionate wine and food lovers, in a setting as welcoming and lively as Healdsburg, was a true highlight of our spring season. A huge thank you to Chef Palmer and his team for hosting another unforgettable Pigs & Pinot weekend—and congratulations to all the fellow winemakers and chefs who made this celebration one for the books.

We can’t wait to return next year. Until then, we’ll be raising a glass of our award-winning Pinot Noir and toasting to pork, passion, and Pinot perfection.
