As Facebook reminded me today, the very first time I poured Perri Jaye Pinot Noir for guests was on this date back in 2019, at a custom crush open house at Inspiration Vineyards. I remember feeling both excited and nervous — wondering if people would truly enjoy my wine. Like any new venture, you learn from those around you: seasoned veterans, mentors, and trusted advisors. The wine community is incredibly generous — winemakers freely sharing their knowledge, wine lovers offering genuine support and feedback, and eventually competitions and critics helping affirm your efforts. It has truly been quite a journey.
Now, seven years later, we’re preparing to pour our homegrown Estate Pinot for hundreds of Pinot Noir enthusiasts from around the world at the Charlie Palmer Foundation’s Pigs & Pinot event, hosted at the new Appellation Hotel in Healdsburg. It feels like a dream come true.
As the runner-up of the 2025 Pigs & Pinot Cup, Perri Jaye Pinot Noir will be entered into this year’s Pinot Cup competition (2023 Vintage). Even more exciting, we will be pairing two of our wines at the Gala Dinner on the final evening of the event, alongside four other incredibly talented female winemakers. The lineup of father-and-son chefs is truly extraordinary and includes world-renowned and local stars, including; Charlie and Reed Palmer, Emeril and E.J. Lagasse, Wolfgang and Byron Puck, and more! Words cannot express how honored and excited I am to be included in this exceptional weekend celebrating great Pinot Noir and fantastic food.
If you love Pinot as much as we do, visit the Pigs & Pinot event website to secure tickets for this incredible experience. There’s even a special package that combines a stay at the beautiful new Appellation Hotel in Healdsburg with full access to the weekend’s festivities. Or join us at the Grand Tasting on Friday, March 20, where you can sample 60 incredible Pinot Noirs from around the world, meet the winemakers, and see who takes home the 2026 Pinot Cup!
We’re also offering a special Pigs & Pinot Estate Pinot multipack, featuring one bottle of each of the three Estate Pinots that will be poured during the event. If you can’t attend Pigs & Pinot but still want to experience the wines we’re sharing, this is your perfect opportunity.
